Data collection
Thyroid Buddy does not create user accounts and does not collect, transmit, sell or share medication, supplement, wellbeing, laboratory or condition-profile data with the developer. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
Data storage
Information entered into Thyroid Buddy is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's application storage. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple and device-backup settings.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Thyroid Buddy schedules local notifications on the device. You can choose privacy-conscious notification text or a more detailed preview. Notification permission and settings can be changed at any time in iPhone Settings.
Exports
PDF and CSV files are created only when you request an export. You choose whether and where to share those files. Once shared, the receiving service's privacy practices apply.
External medical links
The Learn and Labs sections link to authoritative third-party medical websites. Opening a link leaves Thyroid Buddy, and the destination website's privacy practices apply.
Data deletion
You can delete all local Thyroid Buddy records in Settings > Your data > Reset all app data. Deleting the app also removes its local application data, subject to your device-backup settings.
Children
Thyroid Buddy is intended for adults managing an existing clinician-diagnosed condition and is not directed to children.
